About this Project

Dynamic is the first original short film by independent student director Alexander Balzano. It is a martial arts coming of age drama that will premiere in early May as part of the annual Maine Mayhem film festival hosted by the Nickelodeon Theater in Portland, Maine.

Synopsis

Dynamic is a martial arts coming of age story about Jesse, a lonely teen struggling with anger issues, addiction and bullying. When attacked one night, Jesse is rescued by Tom, a mysterious hermit skilled in mixed martial arts. Initially unwilling, Tom agrees to train Jesse to defend himself. As they train, Jesse and Tom will be forced to deal with inner demons that have held them back as well as new threats arising.
